I still think we need an auto reset after being attacked. The footman plays a role. however, I do agree I'm tired of that lone footman waltzing in after I'm attacked while sleeping.

Why not have a castle with a moat and alligator, and the dragon that is at the end of adventure guarding it?

agreed. let castle repel a takeover by say under x amount of total offense. if attacked by lesser offense the takeover fails. this x should correspond to atleast 3-7 columns of army.
